Building Licence Fees

• Class 1 – 10 (Residential)

  – 0.3181% of estimated cost of construction
  Cost of construction up to $26,750 minimum fee $85

• Class 2 – 9 (Commercial)

  – 0.182% of estimated cost of construction
  Cost of construction up to $46,700 minimum fee $85

• Sign Licence

  $75 all signs, other than sandwich board signs $45
• Sign in the road reserve or signs on private property outside of designated town site boundary and not related to the business conducted on that property - $70

Other Fees all classes

• Building Construction Industry Training Fund (BCITF) – 0.2% of estimated cost of construction if $20,000 and over.
• Builders Registration Board Levy (BRB LEVY) - $39
• Exemption from BRB Levy:
  • Demolition or removal of buildings
  • Signs
  • Earthworks
• Refundable Verge Bond (In town sites on a case by case basis)
  • Residential - $500
  • Commercial - $2,000
• Refundable relocation of second hand dwelling bond (within Shire) - $7,000
