Memberships

Membership is free to residents of the Shire. Proof of your current residential address must be shown. Each library member will be given a laminated membership card which must be presented each time you want to borrow. Adult members may borrow 4 items for 2 weeks and juniors may borrow 3 items for 2 weeks.

Members are responsible for returning items on or before the due date. The library has many other members who may be waiting for the item you have. Some items are not for loan such as those from the Reference Collection or the Local History Collection.

Members are responsible for lost or damaged items and will be asked to pay for the cost of the item or the cost of repairing the damage and an administration charge. If you notice damage or markings when borrowing please report it to staff immediately to avoid being held responsible.

Overdue items are not tolerated and an account for the cost of the item may be sent including an administration charge. Membership will be suspended until items are returned or the debt is cleared.
