Notice is given that the Shire of Manjimup has made a local law relating to the rules and guidelines applying to the conduct of all meetings, whether formal or informal, of the Council and its committees and to meetings of electors. The effect of this local law is intended to result in:

  • a. Better decision-making by the Council and committees;
  • b. The orderly conduct of meetings dealing with Council business;
  • c. Better understanding of the process of conducting meetings; and
  • d. The more efficient and effective use of time at meetings.

A copy of the local law may be viewed at the Shire of Manjimup’s Administration Centre, 37-39 Rose Street Manjimup, Shire libraries or CLICK HERE.

The local law will come into operation on the 28th June 2013.

Planning and Development Act 2005, Local Planning Scheme Amendment
Available for Inspection LPS4 Amendment No 10

Notice is hereby given that the local government of the Shire of Manjimup has prepared the abovementioned local planning scheme amendment for the purpose of removing Additional Use A2 from Lot 10 Kaba Grove, Walpole and to modify the Kaba Grove Structure Plan as it relates to this property.

Notice is hereby given that the local government of the Shire of Manjimup has prepared the above-mentioned Local Planning Scheme amendment for the purpose of rezoning a portion of Lot 32 Robinson Street, Pemberton from “Clubs & Institutions” to “Residential R20”.

Even though the  CAT ACT does not commence until NOVEMBER 2013, you can prepare now using the following checklist:

A limit of 2 cats per property is permitted. A permit is required from the Shire to house more cats.

  • Keep your cat/s confined to your property, especially at night.
  • Ensure your cat/s are easily identifiable with a collar and a name tag.
  • Microchip your cat/s – you can microchip you cat/s at the vets now.
  • Sterilise your cat/s - all domestic cats over 6 months of age, are required to be sterilised.
  • Vaccinate your cat/s.
  • Register your cat/s with the Shire.

2014 Raffle Stall Bookings accepted from Monday 1 July 2013

2014 Raffle Stall bookings for the Manjimup Newsagency site can be made at the Shire Administration Office from 8.30 am on Monday 1 July 2013. Bookings are limited to eight per group per annum.

Council at its Ordinary Meeting of 9 May 2013 adopted the above mentioned Local Planning Policy. The Policy is effective as of the date of this notice.
The Policy is to clarify the local government’s position relating to Heritage and to incorporate a Heritage List of Significant Places in Local Planning Scheme No 4. Copies of the Policy can be downloaded below or are available  by contacting Planning and Sustainability on 9771 7777.

LPS4 New Local Policies LPS4 6.1.33 Dam Construction and LPS4 6.1.30 Land Clearing
Council at its Ordinary Meeting of 28 March 2013 adopted the above mentioned Local Planning Policies. The Policies are effective as of the date of the notice.
