2015 Raffle Stall bookings for the site outside the Manjimup Newsagency will be accepted at the Shire Administration Office from 8.30 am on Tuesday 1 July 2014.  Bookings are limited to eight per group, per annum.

The Shire of Manjimup notifies all landowners and residents that the Restricted Burning Period for Zone 8 (Manjimup/Pemberton) has been lifted as of 1 May 2014.

Advertisement of Approval Local Planning Scheme Amendment
Shire of Manjimup Local Planning Scheme No. 4 Amendment No. 3

It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with Section 87 of the Planning and Development Act, 2005 (as amended) that the Hon Minister for Planning approved the Shire of Manjimup Local Planning Scheme Amendment 3 on 21 October 2013 for the purpose of:

  • reclassifying Reserve 14809 Giblett Street, Manjimup, from “Parks and Recreation” Reserve to “Town Centre” Zone; 
  • and reclassifying portion of Rose Street between Edward Street and Giblett Street, Manjimup from “Local Roads” Reserve to “Parks and Recreation” Reserve.

Copies of the above Scheme Amendment are available for inspection at the Shire Administration Officer, Rose Street, Manjimup.

Advertisement of Approval Local Planning Scheme Amendment
Shire of Manjimup Local Planning Scheme No. 4 Amendment No. 1

It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with Section 87 of the Planning and Development Act, 2005 (as amended) that the Hon Minister for Planning approved the Shire of Manjimup Town Planning Scheme Amendment on 15 July 2013 for the purpose of : rezoning Lot 10282 Pemberton-Northcliffe Road, Crowea, and portion of Lot 10285 Quenda Drive, Northcliffe from General Agriculture to Rural Residential.

Copies of the above Scheme Amendment are available for inspection at the Shire Administration Centre , Rose Street Manjimup.

Notice is given that the Shire of Manjimup has made a local law relating to the rules and guidelines applying to the conduct of all meetings, whether formal or informal, of the Council and its committees and to meetings of electors. The effect of this local law is intended to result in:

  • a. Better decision-making by the Council and committees;
  • b. The orderly conduct of meetings dealing with Council business;
  • c. Better understanding of the process of conducting meetings; and
  • d. The more efficient and effective use of time at meetings.

The local law will come into operation on the 28th June 2013.

Even though the  CAT ACT does not commence until NOVEMBER 2013, you can prepare now using the following checklist:

A limit of 2 cats per property is permitted. A permit is required from the Shire to house more cats.

  • Keep your cat/s confined to your property, especially at night.
  • Ensure your cat/s are easily identifiable with a collar and a name tag.
  • Microchip your cat/s – you can microchip you cat/s at the vets now.
  • Sterilise your cat/s - all domestic cats over 6 months of age, are required to be sterilised.
  • Vaccinate your cat/s.
  • Register your cat/s with the Shire.
