Annual Budget 2009-2010

The Annual Budget is prepared in accordance with Local Government Act 1995 Section 6.2. The 2009/10 Budget for the Shire of Manjimup is the mechanism by which Council's "Strategic Plan 2009-2017", is financed and put into effect.

Council adopted the Budget at its meeting on Thursday 30 July 2009.

Community Satisfaction Study 2008

Shire of Manjimup commissioned a community satisfaction survey to establish the community’s current satisfaction with and perceptions of the services and facilities provided by Council. The study also aimed to identify community service/facility priorities, support for rates increases to fund separately identified community facilities or projects, and perceptions on the most effective forms of Council communication.

Key Documents Strategic Plan

In November 2002, Council adopted the "Strategic Plan - 2003 and Beyond" which provides broad direction for the Principal Activities Plan. The Principal Activities Plan indicates how Council intend to put those strategic directions into practice.

Council's annual budget is the process by which those activities identified in the Principal Activities Plan are carried out.

In addition to Council's Strategic input, the Principal Activities Plan has also received input from the Shires Departmental managers who are responsible for carrying out those activities. This process allows a sense of practical realism and ownership.
