About the Manjimup Shire Council

The Shire of Manjimup has a council which sets the policy directions and staff who carry out the decisions of the council. The number of elected members is currently 11. The Manjimup Shire Council is led by a shire president, who is elected by Council at the first Council meeting following a local government election.

Members of Council

Elected members are voted into their position by residents and non-resident ratepayers in the local government district who are at least 18 years of age. Terms of office are generally for a four-year period, with half the total number of council positions becoming vacant every two years.

Enrolment

The State and Commonwealth Electoral Rolls and the Shire of Manjimup's Non Resident Owners and Occupiers Roll are closed approximately 50 days prior to a Local Government Election.  To ensure you are enrolled for future elections see "Enrolling to Vote".
