IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL LAND OWNERS AND OCCUPIERS WITHIN THE SHIRE OF MANJIMUP
Contained in this notice is important information on fire law and safety within the Shire of Manjimup.
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS NOTICE MUST BE INPLACE BY:
Zone 8 (Manjimup / Pemberton) - 11 Dec 2012
Zone 6 (Northcliffe / Walpole) - 18 Dec 2012
PENALTY FOR NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THIS NOTICE $5,000
RESPONSIBILITY
Ratepayers are reminded that under Section 28 of the Bush Fire Act owners of property have the responsibility to extinguish all fires other than those conducted under permit during the restricted burning period. Where a land owner or occupier fails to extinguish the fire, a Fire Control Officer may take all proper measurers to extinguish such fire and the expenses incurred are recoverable.
