Review of Decisions
Most planning decisions made by the Shire are subject to a "right of review" if an applicant is aggrieved by the decision made.
There are two paths for review of a decision:
- Request for Reconsideration
In some circumstances, an applicant may request the Shire reconsider tis decision based on any new information provided to it that was not available at the time of the initial decision.
- Application for Review
An applicant may lodge an Application for Review to the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT). More Information on this process is available from the SAT website.
In both cases, the application must be lodged within 28 days of the decision being made and fees apply. Please contact us for more information.
Rezoning of Land.
In some cases, a Scheme Amendment to rezone a property to allow development may be necessary. Please contact us for more information on this process.
