As part of the Transformation of the Timber & Heritage Park construction works for the Sandra Donovan Sound Shell and the Blacksmith Shop (Historic Hamlet) have commenced this week, 18 September 2017.
The projects are funded by the State Government's Royalties for Regions program and Lotterywest.
Subject to weather and the availability of contractors, completion for the Blacksmith Shop is scheduled for December 2017 and the Sound Shell completion is scheduled for January 2018.
During the construction works, every endeavour will be made to reduce impact on Park visitors and users and minimise inconvenience. The Shire will work closely with effected businesses and community groups to ensure disruption is at an absolute minimum.
The Park will continue to be open and access to the Playground, Hamlet and Relics will remain. For your safety and enjoyment, visitors and users of the Park are encouraged to take care whilst in the area.
Intended working hours are between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday. However, the Shire may also work outside of normal business hours in order to deliver the project s quickly.
