of Manjimup Welcomes RV Travellers with New Short-Stay RV Parking Sites
The Shire of Manjimup is pleased to announce the introduction of three dedicated short-stay Recreational Vehicle (RV) parking locations, providing a convenient and welcoming option for self-contained travellers visiting the region.
Located at Allambie Park, Manjin Park and the Heritage Park, all in Manjimup, the new sites offer free short-stay parking for self-contained RVs and are designed to encourage travellers to explore Manjimup’s town centre, natural attractions, local businesses and unique visitor experiences.
Shire President, Donelle Buegge, said;
“The initiative supports the growing number of RV travellers exploring regional Western Australia while creating additional opportunities for local businesses. The introduction of dedicated RV parking sites provides visitors with a convenient place to stay while they discover everything our region has to offer.
RV travellers make a valuable contribution to local economies through spending on food, fuel, retail, attractions and services, and we are pleased to welcome more visitors to Manjimup and encourage them to explore our local businesses and tourism experiences.”
The designated RV parking locations are available free of charge and do not require a permit. Self-contained recreational vehicles may occupy the Allambie Park site for a maximum of 48 hours, while the Manjin Park and Heritage Park sites are available for overnight parking between 5.00pm and 8.00am.
The initiative has been developed to provide a balanced approach that supports visitation while ensuring the appropriate management of public spaces and local amenities.
As part of the rollout, the Shire is seeking feedback from visitors using the new sites to help assess their success and identify opportunities for future improvements. Visitors are encouraged to complete a short survey and share their experiences to help enhance the visitor offering in Manjimup. The survey can be accessed here.
