The Poppy Project is a remembrance initiative that recognises streets with a connection to Australia’s military history and the men and women who served.
Within the Shire of Manjimup, poppy symbols are being added to street signs named in honour or remembrance of local service personnel and veterans whose service and contribution is reflected in the naming of our local streets.
The red poppy is an internationally recognised symbol of remembrance, and its addition to these street signs provides a lasting visual reminder of the people and stories behind the names we see throughout our communities.
Residents will continue to see the poppy symbols appearing on identified streets as the rollout progresses across the Shire.
Lest We Forget.
