Child Safety and Awareness
Creating a safe community for children and young people
The Shire of Manjimup is committed to supporting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our community.
Children and young people are an important part of our community and interact with the Shire in many different ways. This may include using Shire facilities, attending community events, participating in programs and activities, visiting our libraries and other facilities, or enjoying our parks, playgrounds and open spaces.
The Shire recognises the important role that local government can play in promoting child safety and wellbeing across the organisation and community. It also supports the Shire to share information and connect local organisations, community groups and individuals with relevant child safe resources.
Through raising awareness and providing access to information and resources, the Shire aims to contribute to a community where children and young people are safe, supported and valued.
The community is encouraged to explore the resources below for more information about child safety and wellbeing.
